Fellowship, Heart & Cornerstone Take Local Championships The 33rd season of Detroit Bible Quizzing came to a close with a thrilling come from behind victory by Fellowship Chapel in the Varsity Final. Heart of the Hills won their first championship since 1994 in the Junior Varsity division. Cornerstone Presbyterian won their 3rd straight Little League title. DBQ Takes Varsity, JV Titles at Chicago 2009Detroit placed two teams in the both the varsity and junior varsity finals and ended up on top in both divisions. Check out more details in the March/April issue of the DBQ newsletter.
2009-10 Season Schedule In DevelopmentThe DBQ Steering Committee will be posting the new schedule for the 2009-10 season by the end of May 2009. Make sure you check it out and get a jump on 1 & 2 Corinthians in preparation for next season! Great Lakes DBQ Sweep!!
For the first time in WBQA history, a single local program has swept all three divisions at The Great Lakes Regional. Detroit quizzers brought home their first ever championship in the Little League division, their fifth Varsity championship in the last six years, and a fourth straight JV championship. Now that's what I call a good day of quizzing! An "excellent job" shout out goes to all the coaches, quizzers and parents for pouring time into the effort! It is totally worth it.
